Christine Oesterlein

Christine Oesterlein (born February 20, 1924 in Nuremberg ; † April 26, 2017 ) was a German actress who has appeared in numerous radio plays and films .

Life

Christine Oesterlein completed her acting training with Herbert Kroll in Munich. She also received dance and speaking lessons. She made her theatrical debut in Straubing in 1948 . Until the end of the 1950s she played at the Theater der Jugend , the Residenztheater and the Münchner Kammerspiele . From 1958 to 1968 she worked as a film actress and worked with Rainer Werner Fassbinder , among others .

In 1968 Christine Oesterlein moved to Berlin, where she was a permanent member of the Berlin Schaubühne from 1972 to 1991 . There she worked in productions by Peter Stein , Botho Strauss , Klaus Michael Grüber and Robert Wilson .

She has been a speaker for numerous radio plays and political and literary readings.

In 1992 and 1993 she appeared at the Salzburg Festival .
