Coface

Compagnie Française d'Assurance pour le Commerce Extérieur ( COFACE ) is a French credit insurer based in Paris . The company was founded in 1946 and is part of the Natixis banking group.

history

In 1992, Coface began expanding into Italy and the UK. In 1994 it was privatized. Since 1996 Coface has also been active in Germany and Austria.

In 2010, Coface had 6,400 employees serving around 135,000 customers in 66 countries. The turnover was 1.622 billion euros.

Services

The Coface Group is a credit insurer and offers companies solutions for receivables management in domestic and export business. The main tasks include risk management, protection against bad debts, credit information and monitoring, guarantee insurance and debt collection.

Austria

The Coface, Austria branch is located in Vienna. Vienna has also been the headquarters for Central and Eastern Europe since 2002. The forerunner of the company was Österreichische Kreditversicherung AG (ÖKV), founded in 1954. In 1997 the company was taken over by Coface. In 2012 the cross-border merger with the French parent company took place. Since then, the former Coface Austria has been operating as Coface, Niederlassung Austria .

In 2017, the Vienna office generated an annual turnover of 127 million euros in Central and Eastern Europe. Coface Austria employs around 700 people in 14 countries.
