The Ipsos SA is an international market research company . It was founded in 1975 and has been listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since 1999 . The company's headquarters are in Paris . In 2009 Ipsos was the fifth largest market research company in the world in terms of sales and the fourth largest in Germany in 2010.

Ipsos GmbH is the German subsidiary of Ipsos. In Germany, the market research company employs around 500 people in Hamburg, Mölln , after the takeover of Synovate in 2011, also in Frankfurt am Main and Munich and, since 2013, also in Berlin, as well as around 3,300 freelance interviewers nationwide. In 2011 Ipsos GmbH had a turnover of 53 million euros. Ipsos works in Germany mainly in the following areas:
