Aperam is a listed manufacturer of stainless steel and electrical sheet metal based in Luxembourg and employs 9,600 people in over 40 countries. With a turnover of around 4.3 billion US dollars, it is one of the world's largest producers of stainless steel .

Aperam is a spin-off from the steel giant ArcelorMittal . The group has been listed on the stock exchange since January 2011; As part of the spin-off, ArcelorMittal shareholders received one Aperam share for twenty Arcelor shares. 40.8 percent of the company belongs to the Mittal family and 2.5 percent to the state of Luxembourg .

Locations

Aperam has a capacity of 2.5 million tons of stainless steel in six plants in Brazil and Europe. The company operates three production sites in France, Gueugnon , Isbergues and Imphy , two production sites in Belgium, Genk and Châtelet, and one production site in Timóteo, Brazil .
