Colli del Tronto (in the local dialect: li Cuollë ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3661 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Ascoli Piceno in Marche . The municipality is located about 13.5 kilometers east-northeast of Ascoli Piceno .

history

The area was inhabited by the Picenians in ancient times. In the municipality there is a large necropolis with Picenic, but also with Roman graves.

traffic

With the neighboring municipality of Spinetoli there is a common stop on the railway line from Ascoli Piceno to San Benedetto del Tronto . The southern boundary of the municipality is formed by the Raccordo autostradale 11 from Ascoli Piceno to the Adriatic coast.
