The Communauté de communes de la Vallée Verte is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Haute-Savoie department , whose administrative headquarters are in the town of Boëge . The name refers to the Menoge valley , which has been known as Vallée Verte since the middle of the 20th century . It extends in western Chablais , about 15 km east of Annemasse . history

In 1966, the municipalities of what was then the canton of Boëge formed the SIVOM "Canton de Boëge", through which part of the municipal infrastructure as well as cultural and sports facilities were operated across municipalities. It was replaced on January 1, 2010 by the Communauté de communes, which had recently been created.
