Economy and Infrastructure

Until well into the 20th century, Boëge was a village dominated by agriculture and forestry . Today there are various local small and medium-sized businesses. Numerous workers are commuters who go to work in the larger towns in the area, especially in the Geneva-Annemasse area.

The village is located off the main thoroughfares on a connecting road from Thonon-les-Bains over the Col de Cou to Fillinges . Further road connections exist with Bons-en-Chablais (over the Col de Saxel) and with Burdignin.
