history
Draillant was first mentioned in a document in 1227 under the name Drallens ; The name Draillen has been handed down from 1229 . The place name probably goes back to the Burgundian personal name Thragila or Drogila and means with the suffix -ens as much as with the people of Thragila. Draillant was the site of a Cluniac priory that was dependent on Geneva before the Reformation .
In 1974 Draillant was merged with the neighboring Perrignier. At the end of 2000, however, it was raised again to an independent municipality.
Attractions
The core of the Saint-Pierre church was built in the early 13th century.
