Reyvroz is a French commune in the department of Haute-Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
geography
Reyvroz is located at 777 m , eight kilometers southeast of the city of Thonon-les-Bains (as the crow flies). The village extends in Chablais , on a ledge on the eastern slope of Mont d'Hermone, high above the Dranse at the entrance to the Vallée du Brevon, in the northern Savoy Alps .
The area of the 9.82 km² municipal area includes a section of the Vallée du Brevon. The north-eastern border is formed by the Dranse, which in a deep erosion valley cuts through the area between Mont d'Hermone and the high plateau of the Pays de Gavot. The Brevon flows from the southwest, also deeply cut. The community area extends to the west over the Reyvroz promontory up to the Mont d'Hermone (up to 1370 m ). To the south it extends beyond the Brevon to the Pointe du Rocher Blanc , on which the highest point of Reyvroz is reached at 1520 m .
Reyvroz includes the hamlets of Vers le Nant ( 691 m ), Vers le Pré ( 745 m ) and Bulle ( 835 m ) on the eastern slope of Mont d'Hermone and Outre Brevon ( 766 m ) on the southern slope of the Brevon. Neighboring communities of Reyvroz are Féternes in the north, La Vernaz in the east, Vailly in the south and Lyaud in the west.
Attractions
The village church dates from the 19th century. There is a chapel at the Charmay homestead.

With 510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) Reyvroz is one of the small communities in the Haute-Savoie department. After the population had decreased markedly in the course of the first half of the 20th century (in 1901 Reyvroz still had 671 inhabitants), the number of inhabitants has increased again since the 1980s.
Economy and Infrastructure
Reyvroz was a predominantly agricultural village well into the 20th century . Today there are various local small businesses. Many workers are commuters who go to work in the larger towns in the area, especially in Thonon-les-Bains.
The village is located off the main thoroughfares, but is relatively easy to reach from Thonon-les-Bains on the D26, which leads to Saint-Jeoire .
