The Communauté de communes Faucigny-Glières is a French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Haute-Savoie département , whose administrative headquarters are in Bonneville . The member communities include a section of the Arve valley and the historic province of Faucigny . The membership of the municipality of Le Petit-Bornand-les-Glières also includes the northern part of the Plateau des Glières , a karstified high plateau in the Bornes Alps . The association of municipalities, founded in 2005, currently consists of seven municipalities and has 26,234 inhabitants (as of 2015) on an area of ​​150.67 km ² , its president is Stéphane Valli.

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Le Petit-Bornand-les-Glières and Entremont (formerly Communauté de communes des Vallées de Thônes ) became part of the Commune nouvelle Glières-Val-de-Borne . This increased the number of inhabitants and the total area of ​​the association.
