DC Showcase is a series of direct-to-DVD short films that tell stories of lesser-known DC Comics superheroes. These short films can be found as an extra on various DVDs in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series .
The Specter
Jim Corrigan investigates the murder of his lover's father, Foster Brenner. During his investigation, the two suspects are mysteriously involved in accidents and die before the police can arrest them.

Green Arrow
Count Vertigo hires Merlyn to have Princess Pertita, Vertigo's niece, murdered and to take over the throne of Vlatava himself. Green Arrow manages to take out Merlyn, but is attacked by Vertigo shortly afterwards. Arrow is rescued by Black Canary in his distress, whereupon he kneels in front of her and asks her to marry him.

Superman / Shazam !: The Return of Black Adam
Billy Batson, a street boy, meets with Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, so that he can write a story about his life. During the meeting, the two are attacked by Black Adam. In the disguise of his alter ego Superman , Kent takes on the fight with Black Adam, but is defeated after a short time. Meanwhile, Billy meets the magician Shazam, who gives him superhuman powers and turns him into Captain Marvel . Together with Superman, he brings Black Adam to his knees, who is supposed to be banished to the extreme edge of the universe after his defeat.
