Thomas Jane (born February 22, 1969 in Baltimore , Maryland ; actually Thomas Elliott ) is an American actor and director .

Life

Jane was born to biotechnologist Michael Elliott and his wife, Cynthia. In 1986 he made his film debut in the Bollywood strip Padamati Sandhya Ragam . As a result, he played supporting roles in several films until he played a leading role in Thursday - A Murderous Day for the first time. This was followed by Shrill Nights in New York and in 1999 Deep Blue Sea , in which Jane also impersonated leading roles.

Jane refused to star in comic book adaptations several times because he didn't see himself as a superhero actor. But in 2004 he took on the lead role of Punisher in the comic book adaptation The Punisher . In 2005, Jane voiced major characters in the video games GUN and The Punisher . Thomas Jane achieved great popularity as the title character of the series Hung - Far Better . He plays a man whose only talent is that he is oversized in his masculinity and uses this for a career as a luxury callboy. The part earned Jane great popularity as well as nominations for the Golden Globe Award and Satellite Award . Thomas Jane became a sex symbol with the role of the well-hung . In an interview he explained how the protagonist's penis was staged and what effects this had on himself, who is 7 inches (17.7 cm): "I've had more guys staring at my crotch than girls though. [ …] Besides if you really want to see my penis I'll show it to you. I actually had somebody at a party say, "Hey, let's see your penis," and I pulled it out. " (More guys stared at my crotch than girls. […] Besides, if someone really wants to see my penis, I'll show them to them. At a party there was actually someone who said, “Hey, let's see your penis "And I pulled it out.")

After a few more movies, he played one of the leading roles as investigator Joe Miller in the series The Expanse in 2015 . That same year he played James Wykoff in the western mini-series Texas Rising . In 2017 he starred in the main lead role in the 1922 film adaptation of Stephen King .

Besides his work in film, Jane also works in the theater. Thomas Jane married actress Patricia Arquette in June 2006 . On July 1, 2011, the marriage was divorced. The two have a daughter together who was born in 2003.

Jane's German dubbing voice is usually Thomas Nero Wolff .
