The Dabney State Recreation Area is a 54-hectare state park on the north bank of the Sandy River in Multnomah County in the US state of Oregon . The park is located six kilometers east of Troutdale on the Columbia River Highway and serves as a day trip destination. The facility offers a two-kilometer circular hiking trail, picnic areas and swimming opportunities. You can fish on the river bank, and there is also a disc golf course.

In 1945 Multnomah County donated the foundations for the current park area to the state of Oregon, until 1968 the park was expanded to its present size. The park was named after Richard T. Dabney , an entrepreneur who, when he died in 1916, owned a summer house in what is now the park area.

In the western, older part of the park, a paved path leads to a swimming area on the Sandy River. Large picnic tables line the square, and there is a boat ramp near the swimming area. The newer part of the park also contains a picnic area and a circular path that winds between bamboo , horsetail , poplar and alder. Use of the park is chargeable.
