The Bob Straub State Park , and Robert Straub State Park called, is a State Park in Tillamook County in the US state of Oregon . The 196 hectare park is located on the Nestucca Sand Spit , a peninsula south of Pacific City . The peninsula, about three kilometers long and up to 800 m wide, is covered with sand dunes and bushes. South of the park, the Nestucca River flows into Nestucca Bay and further into the Pacific.

Use of the park is free of charge. The park has a picnic area and sanitary facilities at the parking lot. Several riding and footpaths lead through the park, the white, flat sandy beach of the peninsula is popular with surfers and beach walkers. The Nestucca River is considered one of Oregon's best fishing spots for king salmon . On the opposite bank of the river, some sections belong to the Nestucca Bay Wildlife Refuge , which, along with numerous other animal species, protects the only coastal population of dark Canada geese .

The park area was acquired between 1961 and 1964, and the park was expanded in 1966. The park was originally called Nestucca Spit State Park . In 1987 it was renamed after Robert W. Straub , avowed environmentalist and governor of Oregon from 1975 to 1979.
