The Bradley State Scenic Viewpoint is a 7 hectare state park in the US state of Oregon . The park is 22 miles east of Astoria in Clatsop County .
investment
The park is a rest area along Highway 30 . It contains picnic benches and sanitary facilities. The park area is overgrown with a Douglas fir forest and offers panoramic views over the Columbia River and the Lewis and Clark National Wildlife Refuge .
history
The site was originally donated to Clatsop County in 1921 by Frank Bradley and the heirs of Elemar Bradley . The park was then handed over to the Oregon Highway Commission in 1922 , making it one of the first state parks to serve as highways campsites. A memorial stone in the park commemorates the donation.
