Krediten Carr , also Darlene Carr or Boren Drake , (born on December 12, 1950 in Chicago , Illinois as Boren Farnon ) is an American former actress , singer and voice actress .

Life

Carr is the daughter of the conductor Brian Farnon and the actress Rita Oehmen . Her two older sisters, Charmian Carr and Shannon Farnon, are also actresses. From 1964 to 1999 she worked in numerous film and television productions.

Carr made her film debut in 1967 as Sidoni Riserau in Andrew V. McLaglen's romantic comedy Throwing the Monkeys out . Other movie roles followed in Everything that is forbidden (1968), Frank Patch - Your Hours Are Counted (1969) and Cheated (1971). In the series The Smith Family she was seen from 1971 to 1972 as Cindy Smith, the daughter of Henry Fonda's character. In 1973 she starred in the television horror film The Horror at 37,000 Feet . From 1973 to 1977 she appeared as Jeannie Stone, the daughter of Karl Malden's character, in the crime series The Streets of San Francisco . For her role Tommy Caldwell, which she played in the miniseries Once an Eagle from 1976 to 1977 , she received a 1977 Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a series, mini-series or a television film . In the same year, she played the recurring role of Margaret Devlin in the western series The Road to Oregon and John F. Kennedy's sister Kathleen Kennedy in the television movie The Forgotten Kennedy . Her only leading role in a television series was 1979 in Miss Winslow and Son , in which she played the single mother Miss Susan Winslow.

From 1981 to 1982 she was repeatedly seen as Mary Lou Springer in the western series Bret Maverick . In the 1990s she played again the Jeannie Stone in the television film Back to the Streets of San Francisco (1992) and the Dr. Leticia Baines in the television horror film The Return of the Piranhas (1995) and Erica's mother in the movie My Dream Girl Next Door (1997).

As a voice actress she has appeared in English in a number of films and series, such as in the series Adventures from the Bible (1985–1986) and The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996–1997) as well as in the film Timmy and the Secret of Nimh (1998). Most recently she spoke various roles in the 1999 computer game Lands of Lore III .

In the films My Songs - My Dreams from 1965 and The Jungle Book from 1967 she was also heard as a singer. For the latter production, she and her colleagues received a Grammy Award nomination in the category Best Recording for Children in 1968 . In 1988 she released her own album called The Carr-DeBelles Band .

From 1974 to 1977 she was married to actor Jason Laskay. She later married the horse trainer Zelko Megovetich, with whom she had a son who died in 1981 at the age of two and a half. She has been married to actor Jameson Parker since 1992 .
