David Pittu

David Pittu (born April 4, 1967 in Fairfield , Connecticut ) is an American theater, film and television actor of Romanian descent.

Career

Pittu grew up in Connecticut. He graduated from the Tisch School of Arts (part of New York University ) in 1989 .

As an actor, Pittu was able to make a name for himself above all as a long-time theater actor. Since the 1990s, he has appeared in a large number of plays and musicals , many of which have also been shown or premiered on Broadway in New York City. Pittu has received several awards for his performance on the theater stage.

As a film actor, Pittu made appearances in The Invisible Trap (1997), King Kong (2005) and Men in Black 3 (2012). As a television actor, he played increasingly in a number of television series from 2002. Pittu's best-known appearances include his roles in Damages (as Jack Shaw ), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (as Linus Tate ) and House of Cards (as Dr. Saxon ). He embodied this in several episodes of the series mentioned.

Pittu currently lives in New York City .
