List of parishes in the Retz-Pulkautal deanery

The Retz-Pulkautal deanery is a deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna . It was created on September 1, 2016 by merging the dean's offices in Retz and Haugsdorf .

Deanery Retz-Pulkautal

The deanery comprises 23 parishes and an expositur in the Weinviertel in northern Lower Austria .

Diocesan development process

On November 29, 2015, development areas were defined for all parishes in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The parishes should work more closely together in the development areas, form parish associations or pastoral care rooms. At the end of the process, new parishes should emerge from the development areas. In the Retz-Pulkautal dean's office - at that time still dean's office in Retz and dean's office in Haugsdorf - the following development areas were defined:

  • Kleinhöflein, Mitterretzbach, Obernalb, Retz, Unterstalb, Unterretzbach and Kleinriedenthal
  • Deinzendorf, Obermarkersdorf, Platt, Pulkau, Schrattenthal, Waitzendorf, Watzelsdorf and Zellerndorf
    • Subunit 1: Deinzendorf, Platt, Schrattenthal, Watzelsdorf and Zellerndorf
    • Subunit 2: Obermarkersdorf, Pulkau and Waitzendorf
  • Alberndorf im Pulkautal, Hadres, Haugsdorf, Jetzelsdorf, Mailberg, Obritz, Pfaffendorf, Seefeld and Untermarkersdorf
