German Schlager Festival 1999
The German Schlager Festival 1999 took place on May 15, 1999 in the Oberschwabenhalle in Ravensburg . The Association of German Music Competitions (ARGE) had called as in the previous year songwriters to submit songs for this event.
From the numerous titles submitted, a jury selected twelve titles for the 1999 Schlager Festival, which were presented to the audience and the jurors on May 15 on the occasion of a live broadcast by Südwestfunk on ARD from Ravensburg. As in previous years, Dieter Thomas Heck led the show .
After the title was presented, the audience and juries from the twelve ARD broadcasters could submit their ratings. Winners were Rosanna Rocci and Michael Morgan entitled belonging I 'to you, the Alfons Weindorf composed and Bernd Meinunger had texted. The authors and the two performers received the "Golden Muse" for this. Tex Shultzieg and Erich Offierowski won the “Silver Muse” as authors of the title Ich will Leben, which was sung and interpreted by Anja Odenthal . The "Bronze Muse" was awarded to Stephan Slowik, who, as the author in personal union, is responsible for the text and music of the title Schenk mir dein Träume , sung by Olaf Berger . Some titles from the 1999 Schlager Festival, especially the winning titles, are occasionally played on the radio. All titles were published on one CD .
The German Schlager Festival in 1999 was the last event of its kind. Since then, there have been no corresponding music competitions.
