Goals and content

Advocacy

The German Administrative Union sees itself as a service union that wants to get actively involved in the public and political discussion about the future of the public service by advocating the following basic positions:

  • for a reliable, independent and efficient public administration;
  • for a modern professional civil service;
  • for a performance-based service law;
  • for the preservation of collective bargaining autonomy and the collective agreement;
  • for a modern and competitive collective bargaining law;
  • for uniform regulations in the federal and state governments.

Services

The members are granted legal protection in service and labor law matters through the dbb with its service centers. Furthermore, the services of the dbb akademie - such as professional training, staff council training, information and communication training - and the civil servants' self-help facilities are conveyed.
