The VRFF - The media union ( V ociation the R undfunk-, F ILM and F ernsehschaffenden) is a union in the German Beamtenbund (dbb beamtenbund and tarifunion) based in Mainz .
It was founded in 1964 as a free group for the first staff council election at the Second German Television (ZDF). In 1965 it was officially founded in Wiesbaden. In the VRFF employees of radio, film and television companies as well as production facilities of artistic, technical and commercial enterprises in the Federal Republic of Germany, including their subsidiaries and privatized service areas, are unionized.
