German Association of Bailiffs

The German Bailiff Association e. V. (abbreviated: DGVB ; spelling : German Bailiff Federation ) is a trade union in the DBB Beamtenbund and Tarifunion based in Berlin and represents the bailiffs organized in the regional associations . Federal Chairman is Walter Gietmann (as of December 2016).

The DGVB was founded on January 15, 1909 and entered in the register of associations of the Berlin-Charlottenburg District Court on October 2, 1971 .

The regional associations of Bavaria, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein have left the German Bailiff Association, so that the DGVB only represents bailiffs in 13 federal states. In Baden-Württemberg , Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia there are regional associations as well as district associations.

German bailiff newspaper

The DGVB publishes the German judicial enforcement newspaper (DGVZ) on a monthly basis . This has been published by various editors since 1881. As of December 2013, the sold circulation was over 5400 copies.
