The local transport union (NahVG) is the trade union for employees in local transport in the dbb beamtenbund and tarifunion .

The local transport union was founded on October 22, 2012 in Berlin. It organizes employees of local transport companies from control centers, workshops and the driver service. The principles of the union result from the collective bargaining policy basic program.

The local transport union is divided into six regions:

  • North - Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and the city states of Bremen and Hamburg, based in Hamburg
  • East - Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, Thuringia based in Berlin
  • Middle - Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, based in Frankfurt am Main
  • West - North Rhine-Westphalia based in Cologne
  • Southwest - Baden-Württemberg, based in Mannheim
  • South Bavaria based in Munich

On October 22, 2012, the local transport union was founded in Berlin.

In the founding meeting, the executive board and the regional chairmen were provisionally appointed to their offices. In 2013 the first regional board elections were organized. The first trade union day took place on January 30th and 31st, 2014 at the dbb-forum, Berlin.
