Diamonds Are Forever (song)

Diamonds Are Forever is a song written by John Barry and Don Black in 1971 . In the version sung by Shirley Bassey , the song was used as the theme song for the James Bond film Diamond Fever . Bassey also recorded the song in Italian under the title Vivo Di Diamanti . It was the second of a total of three songs that Bassey recorded in addition to the theme songs for Goldfinger and Moonraker for Bond films.

The song has been covered several times, including by David McAlmont , Arctic Monkeys and Kanye West (under the title Diamonds from Sierra Leone ). Tanja Berg recorded a German-language version, edited by Jack White , entitled Diamonds Are Forever .
