content

The sporty and kind-hearted boy Taiki Kudō ( 工藤 タ イ キ ) hears a strange melody and soft calls for help one afternoon. When he replies, the Digimon Xros Loader appears and he and his friends Akari Hinomoto ( 陽 ノ 本 ア カ リ ) and Zenjiro Tsurugi ( 剣 ゼ ン ジ ロ ウ ) are drawn into the world of Digimon. There they see an army attacking a village. Shoutmon had called for help and together with Taiki succeeded in repelling the army by merging with the Xros Loader Digimon, a so-called Digi Xros .

The army belongs to the Bagra Empire, which wants to conquer the whole Digiworld. From then on, Taiki, his friends and their Digimon fight against the army of Bagramon.

One year after the victory over Bargamon, the Taiki and a friend named Taigiru discovered a world between the Digiworld and the human world, the DigiQuartz. They receive the Xros Loader from a mysterious old man (who later turns out to be Bargamon, but is now on the side of the people). He also tells them that the remaining power of Bargamon has mixed with the digital power of the human world and so the Quartzmon was created, which wants to transform the human world into DigiQuartz and thus wipe out humanity, and it is now the task of the team stop it. Since the strength of Taiki and his friends is not enough, the mysterious man gets help from parallel worlds that the viewer knows from the other Digimon series. Together with the power of Omnimon, Imperialdramon, Gallantmon, Sussanoomon and Shinegreymon can finally defeat Taigiru and Gundramon.

Production and publication

The series was produced by Tōei Animation , directed by Tetsuya Endō and based on the concept of Riku Sanjō. The character design was created by Akihiro Asanuma, who was also the artistic director.

From July 6, 2010, Digimon Xros Wars was broadcast Tuesday evenings in Japan by TV Asahi , replacing the anime series Kaidan Restaurant . The series was broadcast in HDTV and 16: 9 format. The first story arc with 30 episodes ran there until March 8, 2011. From April 3 to September 25, 2011, the second story arc was titled Digimon Xros Wars - Aku no Death General to Nanatsu no Ōkoku ( デ ジ モ ン ク ロ ス ウ ォ ー ズ 〜 悪の デ ス ジ ェ ネ ラ ル と 七 つ の 王国 〜 , Dejimon Kurosu Wōzu - Aku no Desu Jeneraru to Nanatsu no Ōkoku , dt. Outside Asia, the series was licensed by Saban Brands . The US film production company Studiopolis Inc. produced the English-language version for the non-Asian region on their behalf. In addition, the original background music was removed and replaced with original compositions.

Another English-language version produced for the Asian region, which remained largely faithful to the Japanese original, was produced by the independent filmmaker William Winckler and broadcast in Asian countries such as Malaysia and Singapore from 2012 to 2013 under the title Digimon Fusion Battles on Disney XD Asia .

The German-language broadcast of the first story arc on television began on November 10, 2014 in YEP! Program on ProSieben MAXX under the title Digimon Fusion . The distribution of the 30 episodes in Germany took place through KSM Anime, who released the series on DVD in summer 2015, divided into 2 boxes. In contrast to previous seasons and series, the original Japanese version is not shown in German-speaking countries, but the modified English-language version produced by Studiopolis as a template. The other 49 episodes have not yet been published.
