Dmitri Sakharovich Manuilski
Dmitry Manuilsky ( Russian Дмитрий Захарович Мануильский * 21 . Jul / 3. October 1883 greg. In the village Swjatez , volhynian governorate , Russian Empire ; † 22. February 1959 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) was a Ukrainian and Soviet politician. Manuilski was First Secretary of the Communist Party of Ukraine from 1921 to 1923.
Manuilski was sent to the Comintern by the KPU in 1921 . From 1924 he was active in the political commission and until 1943 secretary of the EKKI presidium. He headed the Comintern from 1929 to 1934 after the overthrow of Nikolai I. Bukharin .
From 1944 to 1952 he was Foreign Minister of the Ukrainian SSR . His work as a delegate to the United Nations followed .
He was buried in the Baikowe cemetery .
