In the most important thing Kaiserstein Brucher champion no say, had .. but that find the German champions a quarry with us is at your reverence and grace, whether they admit it is or not .. .

A Viennese master had leased one of “their” quarries with permission, even at the instigation of the rulers, the Heiligenkreuz Abbey . In a craft decision of 14 December 1651 the committed masters and journeymen of masons and masons to quarry at Leithaberg by their signature , .. that no master or journeyman, he was who he wanted, wanted to the Meisterhans Herstorffers quarry accept .. until the matter is settled before a laudable government . Signatures from the head of the Wiener Neustädter Handwerk David Weiss, quarter master Domenicus Petruzzy , Ambrosius Regondi, Simon Andrieth, Mathias Lorentisch, .. as a carpenters Paul Cleritz on behalf of all journeymen.

Since master Hans Herstorffer passed away with death, the widow and heiress left the Kaisersteinbrucher property for sale to the judge and master Ambrosius Regondi , conclusion of a purchase contract on September 16, 1655.

Quarry tenant in 1652

The widower had remarried, there is no data about it, Magdalena became his second wife. On March 11, 1652, both leased a quarry - they received a guarantee of a quarry in Alda , next to Hans Herstorffer . Including “annual Michaelis” 3 fl 4 shillings , or a clean door frame 6 shoes high and 3½ shoes wide.

This quarry was previously owned by master Andre Ruffini, he sold the same master Ambrosius Petruzzy for 100 fl. Ambrosius had "ceded half of it" to his biological brother Domenicus instead of an owed portion of the inheritance of 50 fl, and when Ambrosius Petruzzy "remains of death" he owed the St. Rochus Church over 100 fl. Half of the quarry went to the church instead of this debt. The above mentioned master Domenicus replaced the ordained church fathers for 75 fl, and thus the whole quarry came to him.

The "Leutgabe" (pouring wine) was divided in the quarry between the rulers and the residents. The Heiligenkreuz Abbey devoted part of its income to building the church , difficulties arose in 1653, and the quarries wanted to exercise the law on their own.

Judges Ambrosius Regondi and Domenicus Petruzzy, head of the quarter drawer of the handicrafts .. that they don’t allow the Closter Heiligenkreuz to stand up, no one else than they give up ..

If I dare to bring up a wine (from Königshof to Kaisersteinbruch), I have to bring it back again. If I do violence to someone, they want to have this violence aborted. I am glad that your graces come here next Wednesday ..
