Dominik Glöbl (born May 25, 1984 in Straubing ) is a German trumpeter , singer and television presenter .

Career

The basis for Dominik Glöbl's musical career was his musically enthusiastic family, which enabled him to receive the appropriate training. This began at the Anton-Bruckner-Gymnasium Straubing , where Glöbl received trumpet lessons from the 8th grade.

In 2005 Glöbl began studying “ jazz trumpet ” with Claus Reichstaller at the Munich University of Music and Theater , which he completed in 2009 with an artistic and pedagogical diploma. He supplemented his studies with lessons from Axel Schlosser and Christoph Well and took part in workshops with Rüdiger Baldauf , Randy Brecker , Andy Haderer , Ingrid Jensen , James Morrison and Bobby Shew , which significantly influenced his further work.

Together with 5 school friends he founded the group “Die Bayerischen Löwen” in 2003, with whom he was on stage until 2019.

Dominik Glöbl played lead and solo trumpet in the Bavarian Youth Jazz Orchestra from 2003 to 2008 and stood with numerous musicians such as Sergei Nakariakov , Jay Ashby , Rüdiger Baldauf , Ingolf Burkhardt , Bruno Castellucci , Dusko Goykovich , Herb Geller , Don Menza , Claus Reichstaller , Claudio Roditi , John Ruocco , Jürgen Seefelder , Peter Tuscher or Joe Viera on stage. He performed with various bands such as the Allstar Bigband Regensburg , the Biermösl Blosn , the Blue Eyes Bigband , Mnozil Brass , or Moop Mama .

He went on concert tours with various bands that took him to Russia, Canada, Singapore, America, Iceland, Ukraine and other European countries. Glöbl worked as a freelance musician at the Regensburg Theater ( Die Dreigroschenoper ), the Lower Bavaria State Theater ( Irma la Douce , Cabaret ) and at the Feuchtwangen Cloister ( My Fair Lady ). In 2008 and 2009 Glöbl was a member of the “European Bigband Academy” under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer, with whom he performed at home and abroad.

In addition to his concert activities, he dedicates himself to training young musicians and has been a trumpet teacher at the musical Von-Müller-Gymnasium in Regensburg since September 2010 and at the Regensburger Domspatzen music school since 2012 .

With his band Dreiviertelblut Dominik Glöbl regularly tours Germany and Europe.

Since 2017 he has presented the popular music program Wirtshausmusikanten at Hirzinger on Bavarian television.

Dominik Glöbl is married, has two children and lives in Atting .
