The Dorat Road is a trunk road in the north of the Australian Northern Territory . It runs between the villages of Hayes Creek and Adelaide River as a clasp west of the Stuart Highway . Two roads branch off from it to the west, giving access to nature and national parks.

The road, about 100 km south of Darwin , branches off the Stuart Highway (N1) to the west in Hayes Creek. A few kilometers further, Oolloo Road branches off to the south and provides access to Douglas Hot Springs Nature Park and Butterfly Gorge Nature Park on the Douglas River , to the Douglas River / Daly River Esplanade Conservation Area on the Daly River and the villages of Oolloo and Oolloo Crossing , as well as Fish River on the river of the same name .

Dorat Road continues west for about 20 km and then turns north. To the south-east of Litchfield National Park , the Daly River Road (S28) branches off to the west , which leads past the southern edge of the national park to the village of Daly River on the upper reaches of the river of the same name and further to the south-west to the villages of the Daly River / Port Keats Aboriginal reserve on the Joseph -Bonaparte Golf Leads.

The Dorat Road continues north from this junction and joins the Stuart Highway again in the Adelaide River.

The highest point along the road is at 171 m, the lowest at 54 m.
