The Hodgson River Road is a dirt road in the north of the Australian Northern Territory . It connects the Stuart Highway north of Daly Waters with the Roper Highway at the settlement Brinea .

12 km north of Daly Waters, the dirt road branches off the Stuart Highway to the east and leads past Scarlet Hill and the source of the Strangways River to the upper reaches of the Hodgson River . From there another runway leads east to Nutwood Downs on the Hodgson River and Minamia (Cox River) on the Arnold River .

The Hodgson River Road leads from this junction northwards along the Hodgson River to the settlement of the same name and the settlements of Minyerri and Hodgson Downs . There the track leaves the river bank and reaches the Roper Highway at Brendung .
