The drone relay 7 is a on the Emmen airbase stationed and the drones command 84 (Dro Kdo 84) imputed Militia season. As a coat of arms , it bears a round badge that shows the head of an owl against a dark blue background and the yellow inscription "Dro Staffel 7". In 1995, the ADS 95 reconnaissance system was procured, and drone squadron 7 was founded with it. This initially used 28 ADS 95 units . Today 15 pieces are still in use. The drone with the identification D-119 crashed on September 13, 2011.

The drone squadron 7 consists of the following functional groups: the commander, his deputy, the payload operator, pilot, the air reconnaissance evaluation officer , the drone firing commander for the artillery (Dro SKdt), the operations officer and the intelligence officer. The tasks of Drone Squadron 7 are real-time intelligence gathering day and night, the optical verification of information from other news sources and the support of the artillery with fire control.

Drone Squadron 7 is also used for civilian tasks in Switzerland. So had z.
