The Ducati 750 Sport was the second motorcycle model from the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati to carry this model name and was built from 1988 to 1990.

The fully faired street motorcycle was the successor to the Ducati 750 F1 and the origin of the later successful new Supersport series.

The 750 Sport was the engine of the Ducati Paso equipped, the one rotated by 180 ° rear cylinder head and instead of the previously used mainly carburetor of Dell'Orto had a double carburetor Weber. This was soon heavily criticized as it was associated with a number of problems relating to the exact setting and uneven concentricity at low speeds.

Another thing they had in common with the Paso were the very wide, low-profile tires on the unusually small rim dimension of 16 inches. This characteristic also led to some criticism, as wobbly driving behavior was noticed, especially in slow, tight corners. The tendency of the motorcycle to stand up in curves during braking maneuvers in an inclined position was also unusually high.

The 750 Sport was available in three color combinations:

  • Frame and cladding red with blue stripes
  • Frame and cladding red with silver stripes
  • Frame and cladding black with silver stripes

In 1989, based on the 750 Sport, the Ducati 900 Supersport was presented which, in addition to the larger engine, also differed from its little sister by 17 inch wheels. Both models were discontinued in 1990 and are considered the last real Ducatis by Ducati fans as they were still made without Japanese components. From 1988 to 1990, 2,759 of the 750 Sport were produced.
