The Egyptian Premier League 1976/77 was the 21st season of the Egyptian Premier League , the highest Egyptian championship in football . Champion became al Ahly Cairo for the 14th time , the number of teams was reduced from 24 to 15. Kafr El-Shaikh , Al-Sekka Al-Hadid and Al Tayaran descended. Due to the reduction from 24 to 15 teams, there were no newcomers.
