Elfriede Vavrik (* 1929 ) is an Austrian author .

Life

Vavrik is the mother of three sons and divorced twice. After her second divorce at the age of 40, she ran a small bookstore in the Vienna area until she retired in 2006 . After she went out of business, Vavrik developed severe depression and insomnia . A doctor Vavrik consulted declined to prescribe her sedatives or sleeping pills and advised her to try sex . Vavrik then placed a personal ad at the age of 79 , in which she stated her age as 69. Vavrik said in interviews that she was no longer looking for a partnership; that is why she was looking for men in her personal ad who were bound. Even after two failed marriages, she has not had sex for almost 40 years. Vavrik, also according to his own account, received over 100 letters to her ad. Vavrik rediscovered her own sexuality and eroticism through her sexual experiences with changing sexual partners . According to her own statements, she had an orgasm for the first time in her life at these meetings .

The column Pandoras Box in the men's magazine Wiener inspired her to write erotic short stories and to her book Nacktbadestrand . In this novel-like autobiography, published in 2010, she describes her sexual experiences and erotic fantasies. The sequel followed in 2011: Bathtub Day .

Vavrik's book aroused public interest and was discussed extensively in the feature sections of all major daily newspapers . The book was on the bestseller list for nonfiction in the mirror for several weeks . In April 2010, nudist beach achieved its best ranking with rank 5. In June 2010 it was in 10th place. The book is now (as of September 2010) in its 9th edition. An audio book is in preparation. In almost all meetings were parallels to the novel wetlands of Charlotte Roche pulled.
