Elitserien (chess) 2007/08
The 2007-08 season saw a three-way battle at the top. In the end, SK Rockaden Stockholm was able to prevail over the defending champions Sollentuna SK and Lunds ASK .
In the previous year, SK Kamraterna , Upsala Allmänna Schacksällskap and Solna Schacksällskap were promoted . All three newly promoted players achieved relegation, but Åstorps Schacksällskap and Wasa SK had to relegate . Due to the introduction of the single-track Superettan as the second highest division, only two teams from the Elitserien have been relegated this season. Game dates
The competitions took place on October 19, 20 and 21, 2007, November 17 and 18, 2007, January 12, 2008, February 2 and 23, 2008 and on March 7, 8 and 9, 2008. In the first three rounds were played in Gothenburg and three competitions in Åstorp , the last three rounds were held centrally in Uppsala , the remaining competitions took place decentrally at the clubs involved.
