Erhan Albayrak (born April 5, 1977 in Hamburg ) is a former German - Turkish soccer player and today's coach . Albayrak's position as a player was left midfield.

Life

player

Albayrak grew up in Hamburg-Neugraben-Fischbek and started playing football at FC Süderelbe . From 1990 he played for the youth teams of Hamburger SV and in 1993 he moved to the youth department of Werder Bremen . During this time he preferred to play in the forward position , which changed during his time as a professional . He was the captain of the Turkish U-21 national team , in which he is the record scorer with seven goals.

In the winter of 1995, the 18-year-old Albayrak rose to Bremen's professional team. In the following season 1995/96 of the Bundesliga , he was used twice. He made his debut on matchday 1 against Fortuna Düsseldorf , when coach Aad de Mos replaced him at halftime for Andree Wiedener . On September 26, 1995 Albayrak had its first international appearance. In the first round match of the UEFA Cup against Glenavon FC , he was brought into play in the 67th minute for Mario Basler . This was followed by positions in the Turkish Süper Lig at Kocaelispor , with which Albayrak won the Turkish Cup in 1997, but also loaned him to Altay İzmir in 1998, and Gaziantepspor .

In 2001, the then 24-year-old joined the German relegated Arminia Bielefeld in the 2. Bundesliga , which succeeded the immediate promotion back to the premier league. He scored eight goals in 27 games, and as an attacking midfielder played a decisive role in the success. He scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 2-1 win against FC Schalke 04 on September 29, 2002 with a penalty kick to make it 1-0. In January 2003 Albayrak moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul and then played continuously in Turkey. His contract with Konyaspor , his sixth club since joining Fenerbahçe, was terminated in April 2009.

Since July 2009 he has been a member of the Association of Contract Footballers. On December 18, 2009, the KFC Uerdingen announced that Albayrak would appear for the Krefeld club from January 1, 2010 and would return to Germany after almost seven years in Turkey. He signed a contract for 18 months. In the spring of 2011, Albayrak announced that he wanted to end his career if KFC Uerdingen should not make it to the NRW League . In the end, the Uerdinger made the rise and Albayrak contributed to the success with 16 hits. Nevertheless, in the summer of 2011, he surprisingly moved to the Lower Rhine division TuRU Düsseldorf .

His engagement in Düsseldorf only lasted a month and a half and at the end of September 2011 Albayrak joined the Turkish Sports Club Wiesbaden ( Association League Hessen Mitte ), where he played again with his former team-mate Cem Karaca from Fenerbahce times at Turkish SV . In April 2012, Albayrak's move to FC Sylt was announced, where he also wanted to get his coaching license.

Trainer

Only one month later he was introduced together with Ronny Kockel as the new head coach at his old club KFC Uerdingen 05 , where they replaced Jörg Jung . In March 2014, he replaced Eric van der Luer as coach of KFC Uerdingen 05, but was released on April 14th after two games. In October 2016 he was hired as the new coach of Rot Weiss Ahlen . On December 16, 2017, Albayrak was released from the RWA. In September 2018 he took over the relegation-threatened league club FSV Duisburg , and gave up his coaching position again during the winter break. For the 2019/20 season, Albayrak took over the B-Juniors of the Harburger TB 1865 , who had been promoted to the Bundesliga .

With the traditional Werder Bremen team, he takes part in indoor tournaments for senior teams.
