Erwin Schleberger
Erwin Schleberger , CBE (born November 2, 1930 in Wickrathhahn , today part of Mönchengladbach ; † October 15, 2013 in Münster ) was a German lawyer , lecturer and politician ( CDU ).
Professional background
After graduating from high school in Rheydt in 1951 , he studied law in Cologne and passed the second state law examination in 1959. In the same year Schleberger was accepted into the administration of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a government assessor . Also in 1959 he joined the CDU.
First he was employed by the district administration of Geldern before he moved to the district government of Düsseldorf . He worked there until 1962. In 1960 he was appointed head of training for the upper and middle and, from 1964, also for the higher service . In this context he organized the training in the local government and in the district government of Düsseldorf. In 1965 Schleberger took over the management of the newly established North Rhine-Westphalia State Administration School in Hilden , in 1967 he was appointed head of department at the district government in Arnsberg and in 1970 deputy head of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Statistical Office .
From the summer semester of 1964 Schleberger was given a teaching position at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and from 1968 to 1978 also at the Ruhr University Bochum for a course in public law .
During his time as President of the Münster administrative district from 1978 to 1995, he campaigned for a consistent development of a concept for the Ruhr area, which was particularly affected by structural change . Schleberger also worked in the Münsterland , for example through the Münsterlandtage , which has been taking place since 1988, towards a regional structural policy in order to open up new perspectives for the restructuring of rural areas .
Particularly to Schleberger also has the State Music Academy and the artists' village Schöppingen rendered outstanding; he was chairman of the board of trustees for Dutch studies and from 1982 of the Israel Foundation of the Recklinghausen district.
