Etienne Kinsinger (born September 8, 1996 in Püttlingen ) is a German wrestler . In the youth field he won a total of six German championship titles and five international medals, including the gold medal at the 2013 Greek-Roman style cadet world championships up to 58 kilograms. In the Ringer Bundesliga he wrestles for KSV Köllerbach .

Career

Etienne Kinsinger began his wrestling career at the age of five at KSV Köllerbach. Since 2010 he has been training almost exclusively at the Rhineland / Palatinate - Saarland Olympic base in Saarbrücken under the regional trainers Frank Hartmann and Albert Nurov. In 2012 he moved to the neighboring club KV Riegelsberg in order to be able to start in the 2nd Bundesliga. Since 2014 he has been wrestling for his home club again and is a regular wrestler there in the wrestling Bundesliga up to 61/66 kilograms. He graduated from school in May 2016 and has been studying economics and law at Saarland University since October 2016 .

In 2008, Kinsinger started at the German championships (C-youth) for the first time and immediately took second place in the 34 kilogram freestyle class. The following year he won a German (youth) championship title for the first time in the weight class up to 42 kilograms in the Greco-Roman style. Since that championship, Etienne Kinsinger has focused and specialized in this style. Kinsinger started in the youth and junior division by 2016 and was able to win a total of six German championship titles there (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016). In 2014, at the age of 17, he became German champion in the men's category up to 59 kilograms. In 2017 he won this title for the second time.

In 2012 Etienne Kinsinger represented the German Wrestling Federation for the first time at international championships. At the European Cadet Championships in Katowice , he finished 13th in the weight class up to 58 kilograms , and seventh at the World Cadet Championships in Baku .

The following year he won his first international medal in the same age and weight class. After he was eighth of the European Championships in bar, he managed to win the cadet world title in Zrenjanin .

From 2014 to 2016 Kinsinger started in the junior division in the 60 kilogram class. In his first year in this age range, he immediately took third place at the European Championships in Katowice.

In 2015 he started at the World Championships in Salvador da Bahia and finished fifth. In 2016 he managed to win medals at three international championships. He became third European champion in the U23 age group in Ruse, also third European junior champion in Bucharest and vice world champion of juniors in Macon. In 2017, Kinsinger started for the first time at an international senior championship. At the World Championships in Paris, he finished 20th.
