Evridiki Theokleous ( Greek Ευρυδίκη Θεοκλέους, born February 25, 1968 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot singer. As a stage name she chose her first name. She represented the Republic of Cyprus several times at the Eurovision Song Contest .

Career

Evridiki grew up in Nicosia . After school she enjoyed a musical education, including in Paris and Boston . In 1989 she moved to Athens , where she released her first album in 1991. In 1994 she married the musician and composer Giorgos Theofanous . She soon became one of the leading pop , rock and laika singers in the Republic of Cyprus and Greece . She also took part in musical productions and recorded duets with various colleagues.

Eurovision Song Contest

Evridiki competed three times for Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest : 1992 with Teriazoume (11th place), 1994 with Ime anthropos ki ego (again 11th place) and 2007 with the French-speaking Comme ci comme ça (15th place in the semifinals).
