The Expressway 30 is a freeway in South Korea . The highway is an east-west route through the west and center of the country, from Dangjin on the west coast via Daejeon to Sangju in the middle of the country. The street is partially numbered twice with Expressway 1 . The route is 198 kilometers long.
Street description
Immediately south of Dangjin City, Expressway 30 begins at an intersection with Expressway 15 . The highway then runs southeast and follows a wide valley. Then the route leads through the mountains with several road tunnels. After about 70 kilometers the town of Gongju and a junction with a new highway follow . The new capital of South Korea could be built here. On the west side of Gongju is an intersection with Expressway 151 . The intersection with Expressway 25 follows shortly afterwards . The highway runs southeast towards the city of Daejeon.
Daejeon is one of the larger cities in South Korea with 1.4 million inhabitants. The expressway reaches the city ring in the west and is also part of it. To the south is Expressway 251 which comes from the southwest. The highway has 2 × 2 lanes here. In the north of Daejeon, Expressway 35 and Expressway 1 join with Expressway 30 and then head north. This triple numbering is approx. 20 kilometers and has 2 × 4 lanes.
The highways separate south of Cheongwon , Expressway 30 leads east, Expressway 1 continues to Seoul. The motorway comes through a mountainous area with steep mountains up to 1,000 meters high. There are mostly small towns and a few road crossings. Immediately after Sangju , Expressway 30 ends at an intersection with Expressway 45 .
