Fill stone
Füllstein (also Fullstein ; Czech z Fulštejna ; also Fulštejnové ) is the name of a Moravian - Silesian noble family. Its members came from a gentry from Fülme in Weserbergland . They held in Moravia, among others offices in the Archdiocese Diocese of Olomouc and in the duchies Opava and Jägerndorf , also in the Ziemia Przemyska (Przemyśl Land) of the Kingdom of Poland .
Progenitor
The progenitor of the Moravian line of the Lords von Füllstein was
- Herbort von Fülme († ~ 1288). He belonged to the retinue of the Olomouc bishop Bruno von Schauenburg , of which he was a chief sess . In 1241 he is said to have participated in the Battle of Liegnitz . 1252 he defended the north Moravian region of Hotzenplotz the incidence of Opole Duke Władysław I. For his services he received to 1255 by Bruno of Schauenburg several villages in the area of Hotzenplotz, including Roßwald and Gotfriedsdorf ( poříčí ) which started in Fulmenstein and later in-fill was renamed. The Füllstein Castle, which he built there, became the headquarters of the Moravian line. In 1278 he is said to have fought at the Battle of Marchfeld , where King Ottokar II Přemysl was killed.
