Creation and publication

The song was written by Bernd Heinrich Graf ( Der Graf ) and Henning Verlage , the piece was produced by Kiko Masbaum. The song describes the inseparability between two people. The piece was the second single from her seventh studio album Große Freiheit . The first publication took place on May 21, 2010 in Germany and Austria; in Switzerland the single was only released on July 25, 2010. The single is available as a download, as a maxi single with the B-side Die neue Welt and as a digipak with a poster (limited to 3,000 units worldwide). The cover of the single shows a count looking into space on a beach. The song was first played live on television at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest aftershow party .

The music video for Forever was filmed in Berlin and premiered on April 30, 2010. Marc Helfers directed. The German-Asian actress Young-Shin Kim plays alongside the Count .
