In 1995, the book of songs for young people “Celebrate Jesus!” With around 250 songs was published; the initial print run was 40,000 copies. The second volume was published in 2001 (initial print run: 90,000 copies) and the third volume in the songbook series in 2005. In addition to mostly German-language songs, all volumes also contain some English-language songs. The Celebration Jesus - to go , published in April 2008, contains 38 songs from the three predecessors and twelve new songs. The celebration of Jesus - to camp , published in January 2010, comprises 30 songs and is printed on tear-resistant and waterproof plastic fiber paper. Celebrate Jesus 4 was published in autumn 2011 and contains 200 thematically arranged songs, and there is also the Celebrate Jesus! 4 - Listen & Learn CD. In September 2017, Celebrate Jesus! 5 with 248 songs, again with the accompanying Celebration Jesus! 5 Listen & Learn CD.
Together with the first songbook, the first “Celebrate Jesus!” Double CD was released in 1995. Since then, a further CD has been produced every year, some with an initial run of 10,000 copies. “Celebrate Jesus! 18 “was released in August 2012. The CDs are produced by Albert Frey . The recordings do not take place in recording studios , but for example during Operation Mobilization in Mosbach or, in recent years, in the Free Evangelical Church in Heidelberg. In addition to the actual CD series, various “Celebrate Jesus!” Special versions (for example “Instrumental”, “lounge”, “on the piano 1 + 2”, “Christmas” and “International”) have been released.
Lukas Di Nunzio, the editor of the first songbook Celebrate Jesus! , compiled this collection of songs as part of his work as the music director of the mission organization Operation Mobilization , as the songbook he had used up to now seemed inadequate. The first episode of the accompanying CD series was initially a compilation of previously published titles. For the further episodes, worship leader and music producer Albert Frey was won, who produced the second and third episodes with new recordings as well as using secondary exploitations. The vocal recordings took place during the Mission Praise Week of the Mission Mobilization Mission in Mosbach. Here, a choir formed from the participants under the direction of Lukas Di Nunzio, who has accompanied the participating artists from the entire German worship scene ever since. In 1998 the fourth episode appeared for the first time with exclusively new titles - also beyond the songbook. The accompanying choir under the direction of Lukas Di Nunzio until 2002 has been directed by Alexander Lucas since the sixth episode of the series.
The CD series for children between the ages of seven and twelve appears parallel to the song book series of the same name, produced by Daniel Jakobi with the celebration of Jesus! Kids next to guest soloists.
As a practical aid for learning new songs from the fourth volume, Lars Peter released the CD package in 2011, Celebrating Jesus! - Listen And Learn from six audio CDs, which contain all the titles of the songbook in a simply interpreted form. The recordings retain the original key and the songs are played in full and accompanied by piano or guitar.
