Felix Hahndorff

Karl Gustav Felix Hahndorff (born September 8, 1852 in Schwedt / Oder , † December 4, 1920 in Berlin-Dahlem ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Hahndorff attended grammar school in Neuruppin and the cadet house in Berlin . Subsequently, on October 18, 1871, he was transferred to the 3rd Pomeranian Infantry Regiment No. 14 of the Prussian Army as a characterized porter. There he was promoted to secondary lieutenant in mid-April 1872 and served as adjutant of the Fusilier Battalion in Stralsund from May 1877 to the end of February 1879 . For a short time, Hahndorff was then assigned to the Pomeranian Pioneer Battalion No. 2. On September 14, 1880 he was transferred to Weißenburg in the 7th Brandenburg Infantry Regiment No. 60 . Here he rose to prime lieutenant in June 1883 .

From November 25, 1886 to December 12, 1888, Hahndorff was assigned to the Biebrich NCO School as a company officer and was then transferred to the NCO School in Marienwerder while being promoted to captain and in the position of his regiment à la suite as a company commander. This was followed from June 17, 1893 as a company commander in the Grenadier Regiment "King Friedrich I." (4th East Prussian) No. 5 in Danzig . On July 20, 1898 Hahn was Dorff as a supernumerary Major the Infantry Regiment. 154 aggregated . Then Hahndorff was promoted to major general commander of the 73rd Infantry Brigade in Rastenburg . In 1912 the brigade moved its headquarters to Layck . With the approval of his resignation request, he was put up for disposition on April 18, 1913 with the status of lieutenant general with the statutory pension .

During the First World War , Hahndorff was re-used as a zD officer and he acted from September 13, 1914 to December 21, 1916 as commander of the 70th Landwehr Infantry Brigade on the Eastern Front .

Felix Hahndorff died in 1920 at the age of 68 in Berlin-Dahlem and was buried in the local St. Anne's churchyard . The tomb has been preserved.
