FinecoBank was founded in 1999 as a subsidiary of Fineco SpA , which became part of Capitalia in 2002 , which in turn was taken over by Unicredit in 2007 .
FinecoBank has been listed on the Borsa Italiana since 2014 .
FinecoBank has been a member of the Italian benchmark index FTSE MIB since 2016 , after Unicredit placed 20% of the ordinary shares. The market capitalization was in March 2019 about 7 billion EUR .
