The A2A SpA is an Italian power company based in Brescia , which in the fields of electricity , gas and water treatment , water supply and waste management operates.

history

The company was created on January 1st, 2008 through the merger of Azienda Elettrica Municipale , Azienda Milanese Servizi Ambientali and ASM Brescia. In 2009 A2A acquired 43.7% of the Montenegrin energy supplier EPCG . In 2012 A2A sold its French subsidiary A2A Coriance for 76.5 million euros to the holding company KKR .

The company has a generation capacity of 9.8 GW and sells around 13 TWh of electricity and 14.7 billion cubic meters of gas (as of 2014).
