The airfield Baltrum is a German aerodrome on the North Sea - island Baltrum .
It is located in the southwest of the East Frisian island and can only be approached by single-engine aircraft up to 1400 kg (and Cessna 206 and 182 ) and helicopters (up to 5700 kg) due to the short paved runway (360 m) . The landing site is operated by Baltrum-Flug GbR on a site leased from the municipality of Baltrum.
Airlines and Destinations
The shortest scheduled scheduled flight takes you to the Norden-Norddeich airfield in eight minutes . The airline Luftverkehr Friesland Harle (LFH) offers charter flights, sightseeing flights and scheduled flights to other East Frisian islands and the mainland. The LFH has a Cessna 172 stationed on Baltrum.
The really shortest flight leads to Norderney in about 4 minutes with a westerly wind, and to Langeoog in 5 minutes with an easterly wind .
