The Forlandet National Park ( Norwegian Forlandet nasjonalpark ) is a 4,634 km² national park on the Norwegian archipelago of Spitsbergen . It includes the island of Prins Karls Forland . The area of the park extends over 616 km² mainland and 4,018 km² sea area. The park is one of seven national parks on Svalbard. It was founded in 1973.
The park is home to the world's northernmost populations of seals and guillemots . There are two bird reserves in the national park, which cannot be entered from May 15 to August 15. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the island.
