The district league Potsdam 1952/53 was the first staging of the district league Potsdam carried out by the district technical committee (BFA) football Potsdam . It was the top division in the Potsdam district and the third highest in the league system in the DFV area . Due to the administrative reform in July 1952 in the GDR , 15 districts (including East Berlin) were established instead of the federal states. As a result, there were also changes in the league system in football, so that the district leagues replaced the former national classes .

Motor Hennigsdorf became first district champion and took part in the promotion round to the GDR league . There, the Hennigsdorfer took first place in season 3 and rose to the GDR league.

Tractor Glindow and Chemie Brieselang descended into one of the subordinate district classes . In return, the three district class winners, Traktor Pritzwalk , Motor Mögelin and Aufbau Jüterbog , rose in the following season .
