District league promotion round
In the promotion round normally the four season winners of the district class determined the promoted to the district league. In season A, the second representation of Chemie Premnitz took first place. Due to the relegation of their first team from the GDR league, however, they were no longer eligible for promotion and the free space went to second-placed Motor Mögelin. In addition to Premnitz, Motor Hennigsdorf was relegated from the GDR league and district champion Stahl Hennigsdorf missed promotion there, so there were only two promoters to the district league. Since the BSG unit Nauen played all games away, the remaining teams each had two home and one away game.
